The Doodle Blog: Steps To Gaining Traffic For Your Blog

  • ahbing · 5 months ago
Thanks for sharing such an informative post. I am not so active in local community. Normally I'll just write blog, post on Facebook, and occasionally visit other's blog to increase exposure. Anyway, do you know how to ace nuffnang innit community? I'll definitely give BloggerUnited a try though.

    Btw, link is up!
  • - c H i E n - · 5 months ago
Innit is really hard to ace I find readers there like posts that are related to Nuffnang most of the time. Like the covering of the events and of course, anything about women and men. If you're looking for really good reads, go for digg and stumbleupon. Those are quality articles, most of those at the top of the lists are published by really famous blogs. =)

And thank you for the effort. =) xoxo.

    Hey dear

    thanks for the mention :D

and ....glad you like the topics on relationships although I have no idea how I've ventured myself into that category when the blog is suppose to be all about me, me and me ... lolx

you r doing really great with that comix of yours, love it!
  • - c H i E n - · 5 months ago
thank you! You're flattering me but those are really amateur drawings.

    Maybe you're a relationship-expert subconsciously! =)
But I could see that you've gone through a lot and have a mature standings in this issue, that's why I love your posts!! It teaches me a lot and have my own principles for what will come! =)

    Hello Chien

I love your tips here... it seems like you've been blogging for a while and have been pretty good at it...

I have been blogging for almost six years now, and looking back at my old posts for the past half decade I've been evolving from just talking about what I do everyday to rambling about politics and the world and somehow lately end up as a place where I dump my latest photo and talk about it.

You can say I haven't found my niche yet. But I guess that's my niche. That my blog is what I make of it, changes with time and with mood. The same as me, for I have changed a lot in the past couple of years as well. To put it in simpler words, my blog reflects myself in the cyberworld. It's my persona in words and pictures.

I'm glad you have a wonderful niche and a wonderful following. And I'm glad I'm following you now. Because your blog is just that: wonderful. Bless my lack of vocabulary.

Oh and by the way, I am a spellchecker at heart. In your post, look at number four, the last line. I think you meant 'verbs' and instead of 'verbs' =)

Thanks for sharing. I look forward to all your posts =)
  • ihsankhairir · 5 months ago
Seems like I misspelled the misspelt word. I meant 'verbs' instead of 'verds'. =)
  • - c H i E n - · 5 months ago
Congratulations! I actually leave the spelling mistake there on purpose! xD

To be honest, I have been blogging since 13. But that time I was just testing out, and also partly trying to improve my english. it wasn't meant to open to the public. Only recently then I take blogging seriously. xD So if you want to know how long I've taken to find my own niche? I don't know. Just one month back, I would say. And I was like you too, changing from time to time.

Maybe your niche is fluid. You can write anything you want. If you want more daily readers, marketing plays a huge part too. On that issue, I am no expert in that field but I am sure googling will help you just fine on that issue.

And thank you for following my blog. You're one of my rare loyal readers and I appreciate it from the bottom of my heart.

  • ROFLOLMAO · 5 months ago
Dear lord! You've only got a puny 9000 hits and you're teaching people about gaining more traffic? Also, how can you preach proper grammar in blogs when your own English is so bad? LOL, this article is hilarious.
  • Sophos · 5 months ago
How rude of you to say that! Can't you see the amount of people following her blog and the amount of comments she got in these recent posts? She learnt her English through blogging and that's a great achievement. You're extremely ill-mannered.
  • - c H i E n - · 5 months ago
Thank you for defending me. But it's a HUGE waste of time to even reply or to read his comments. Don't worry about it. =)

Hi, you have an interesting blog. I like to doodle too during free time but i have not converted anything into digital. What's the best equipment to use?

I just started blogging not long ago. Learning alot of things. Thanks for your tips.
  • Patricia · 5 months ago
you forgot blog layout. messy/complicated/bright colors/etc ones tend to make readers uncomfortable thus leaving :) simple, nice and special is important. comfortable too :)
  • alicephua · 4 months ago
I have a tip to share (from my experience) about increasing blog traffic, but this method is seasonal. If you like to blog about warehouse sales or good offers/promotion/sales, join a warehouse sales forum (e.g. Shoppingnsales.com or everyday.com.my), leave a comment for a particular warehouse sale that interest you plus a link to your blog saying something like "for a review of the sale, click my name to go to the link" and voila, you'll get high traffic which last for about a few days! And when the same sale is going to be held in another season, people will check your blog again for the review so that they can decide whether or not to go for the coming sale. But of course, you must make sure you really give a proper review of the sale to ensure that people will continue to refer to your blog when the time comes.
